Matthew joined RFC in the summer of 2017 as a seasonal intern and now works year-round as a Water Quality Technician. He was born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, attended school in Basalt, and grew up working at his parents’ pharmacy in town. Matthew graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Resource Management from University of Washington in 2020. While in school, Matthew worked in a variety of environmental disciplines including: wildlife research, landscape ecology, and water quality technologies. At RFC, Matthew conducts a wide variety of water quality field work, lab work, and related data management and analysis. He enjoys playing soccer, spending time with family and friends, and learning about the natural world.
