Alexis grew up moth hunting and trout fishing with her family in the Midwest. In addition to serving in the U.S. Army for 13 years, she earned a degree from Northern Illinois University in Environmental Studies with an emphasis on water. In 2015, she moved to Grand Junction after getting a job with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). She fell in love with the trout streams of the Roaring Fork Valley and joined RFC the summer of 2021 to help protect some of her favorite fishing waters and educate others on their importance. She loves to watercolor trout, bake delicious treats, ride motorcycles with her boyfriend, and travel. She is also obsessed with Harry Potter and her cat, Kimchi.
