Summer Event Support (temporary, part-time)

Roaring Fork Conservancy is seeking a program assistant to help with its summer fundraising events. Roaring Fork Conservancy was founded in November of 1996 as an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is “to inspire people to explore, value, and protect the Roaring Fork Watershed.” We are focused on three key issues: water quantity – keeping water in our rivers, water quality – keeping our rivers healthy, and riparian preservation – keeping our riparian habitat intact. Roaring Fork Conservancy works toward these issues and our mission through programs in education, water quality monitoring, land & water conservation, research, and river stewardship.


Responsibilities:
Roaring Fork Conservancy seeks an energetic and organized person to help with duties relating to our summer events.

Some examples of work include:

  • Data entry and database management
  • Assist with event registration and guest inquiries 
  • Collecting and organizing event donation items 
  • Help work, set up & take down event  

As part of the job, you will receive on-the-job training; opportunity to actively participate in organization meetings, and events; and interact with all staff members. 

Hours/Days: 
Approximately 20 hours/week including event evenings

Most hours will be worked Tuesday-Thursday during normal office hours. The week of our events in July will require more hours. 

Required Days: July 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18 

Required Evenings: July 10 & 17 

Employment timeframe: June 1 through August 16 (some flexibility available)

Requirements:  Strong written and verbal communication skills, extremely detail oriented, excellent computer skills, willingness to learn, and sense of humor is a must! Interested individuals must have housing in the Roaring Fork Valley. 

Compensation: $21/hour
